Bonnie J. Fodor

Bonnie is a life-long western Pennsylvanian and the Mom of Matthew.  She is married to Matthew's Dad, David, and has one other son, Michael.  She has four grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, Bradley and Jackson.  Before she retired, she was a long time speech and language pathologist and early intervention specialist, working with children birth to age three.

In February 2020, Bonnie was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer, one of the rarer types in the cancer world.  As folks with cancer know, the journey of chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and follow-up chemotherapy is a world unto itself.  Her treatment began right as COVID shut the world down, but thankfully she was able to stay as positive as she could.

Currently, after finishing treatment in October 2021, she is cancer free, and is looking forward to spending more time with her husband, sons and daughter in law and all her grandchildren.  

​

She is thrilled that Matthew is creating Sing! Against Cancer, because she knows all too well how the gift of music can comfort and heal even in the worst of days.
